Research in Cardiothoracic Surgery

Our division publishes 20-30 manuscripts each year and has an active research team. Our division does have NIH-funded investigators with a basic laboratory. In addition, we perform a large number of outcome studies. Also, our team is committed to highlighting diversity and equity in our research trials. Whereas most trials nationally have only a 5 percent minority participant rate, many of our trials have rates as high as 45 percent.
