Hospice & Palliative Medicine Fellowship

Program Director: Anthony Grech, M.D.
Program Coordinator: Regina Williamson

The Henry Ford Hospital Hospice and Palliative Medicine (HPM) fellowship program is an ACGME-accredited program with the goal of training physicians to be leaders in providing comprehensive care to patients and families facing serious illness. Fellows work as part of interdisciplinary teams to provide care that reduces pain and suffering while promoting comfort and quality of life. This one-year program offers diverse experiences and teaching approaches (didactics, bed-side teaching, communication workshops, individual mentoring, regional/national meetings) to provide each fellow with a rich learning environment for developing clinical expertise. There are also opportunities for fellows to develop the foundation needed to succeed in hospice and palliative medicine research, leadership, and education.
