Hospice & Palliative Medicine Fellowship

Message from Program Director:

Welcome to the Henry Ford Hospital Hospice and Palliative Medicine (HPM) Fellowship Program website. I invite you to explore our site and discover for yourself why this is one of the premier HPM fellowship programs in the State of Michigan.

The Henry Ford Hospital HPM Fellowship Program is a one-year ACGME accredited training program focused on the care of adult patients. Our mission is to train HPM physician leaders who provide and promote relief of suffering and quality of life for patients experiencing serious life-limiting illness.

Our program is based in Henry Ford Hospital, an 877-bed academic quaternary care center in Detroit, Michigan which provides care for a diverse population of patients from the surrounding area, region and nation. We offer a breadth of clinical experiences, a robust didactics series, a dedicated communications curriculum and plentiful scholarly opportunities. Fellows learn from a large, engaging faculty with diverse training backgrounds and benefit from the experience of working in an innovative Division of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

Our fellows graduate prepared to practice in both the community and academic settings. They are proficient in coordinating the care of seriously ill patients, leading interdisciplinary teams, educating medical learners of all levels and advancing the field of HPM.

Thank you for your interest in our program. Please contact me directly with any questions.
