Eligibility & Requirements

Applicants must have completed an accredited residency in:

• Pathology (AP, CP, or AP/CP), or
• Medical Genetics

Board certification or board eligibility in Pathology or Medical Genetics is required.

• Three Letters of Recommendation
• ECFMG certification (if applicable)

How to Apply

We are currently receiving applications for both the 2027-2028 and 2028-2029 academic years:

• For the 2027-2028 academic year, please email your required application documents (see Eligibility & Requirements) to our Program Coordinator, Erika Morrison, or Program Director, Dr. Juan C Gomez-Gelvez. Please specify the academic year for which you are applying. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and selected applicants will be invited for an interview shortly after their application is reviewed. Offers will be made following the interview process.
• For the 2028-2029 academic year, The Molecular Genetic Pathology Fellowship Program will accept applications through the FellowshipsCAS. Alternatively, applicants may email their required applications documents (see Eligibility & Requirements) to our Program Coordinator, Erika Morrison, or Program Director, Dr. Juan C Gomez-Gelvez. Please specify the academic year for which you are applying.
• For the 2028-2029 academic year, The Molecular Genetic Pathology Fellowship Program will participate in the NRMP Match process. Applicants should review the AMP Fellowship Match website.
