Neurology Consult

Duration: 4 weeks

Period offered: All months except July and August

Distribution of student's time: 100% inpatient consult service

Enrollment/Period: 1 maximum, upon availability - pre-approval required

Prerequisites: Completion of course in physical diagnosis and at least one medical clerkship

Description: Students work closely with neurology attending physicians and residents on the inpatient neurology consult service, seeing patients in the emergency room and inpatient medical and surgical services. Students will follow their own patients and present cases on teaching rounds. Students will attend daily lectures with residents. Evaluations are completed by each faculty and resident exposed to the student, as requested by the student.
