Clara Ford Nursing Excellence Award

The Clara Ford Award for Nursing Excellence, established in 2012, honors registered nurses within Henry Ford Health who demonstrate a sustained commitment to patient care, community service, and the nursing profession. Named in memory of Clara Ford, a longtime advocate for the Henry Ford Hospital School of Nursing (1925–1996), the award recognizes nurses who exemplify the highest professional standards. Honorees are selected in four categories aligned with Henry Ford Health’s True North strategy: Safest Care and Best Outcomes, Exceptional Experience, Affordable and Efficient Care, and Compassionate Care. Award recipients are chosen collectively by the Chief Nursing Officers of Henry Ford Health.
