Hospital Standard Charges
As of January 1, 2021, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requires that each hospital publish standard charges for all items and services provided to their patients; and provide a minimum of 300 estimates of “shoppable” services.
Henry Ford offers the opportunity to create an online, real-time estimate for many common procedures. Have your insurance information ready, along with the location where you plan to receive care when creating your estimate. If you have additional questions, or your procedure isn’t yet available submit a pricing request or call us at (888) 455-2678. Our Pricing team will be able to create an estimate that reflects your expected out-of-pocket cost based on your insurance benefits, or if uninsured, based on the HFHS uninsured discount policy.
Standard charges include gross charges, negotiated rates and discounted cash prices for self-pay patients. Please click on the links below to access a complete listing of each Henry Ford Health System (HFHS) hospitals' standard charges in a machine-readable file.

While these documents provide a complete listing of all HFHS standard charges, they are not intended to provide an estimate of a patient’s out-of-pocket cost. Patients should not use the standard charges for estimating out-of-pocket cost.
A patient’s out-of-pocket cost is based on the negotiated rates agreed to between HFHS and its contracted payers, and a patient’s benefits and deductible status – see example below.
|Gross charge||$1,300 (HFH Charge Master File)|
|Insurance allowed amount (example only)||$500 (Contracted rate between HFHS & Payer)|
|Patient’s remaining deductible (example only)||$150 (Patient’s out of pocket cost for service)|
HFHS is committed to providing affordable care for its patients through its financial assistance programs, interest free payment plans, and other financing options.
