Hospital Standard Charges

Effective January 1, 2019, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requires that all hospitals make available to the public its standard charges via the internet. Please click on the links below to access a complete listing of the Henry Ford Health System (HFHS) charge master files and corresponding standard charges in a downloadable format.

*Services not listed in this fee schedule are priced at HFH rates

**Medications for the Specialty Hospital can be viewed in the Henry Ford Allegiance file

While these documents provide a complete listing of all HFHS charges, they are not intended to provide an estimate of a patient’s out of pocket cost. Patients should not use the standard charges for estimating out of pocket cost as it would significantly overstate a patient’s financial responsibility.

A patient’s out of pocket cost is not based on the standard charge, but rather the discounted rates agreed to between HFHS and its contracted payers, and a patient’s benefits and deductible status – see example below.

Example of CT of Chest
Standard charge
$1,200 (HFH Charge Master File)
Insurance allowed amount (example only) $500 (Contracted rate between HFHS & Payer)
Patient’s remaining deductible (example only) $150 (Patient’s out of pocket cost for service)

HFHS is committed to providing affordable care for its patients through its financial assistance programs, interest free payment plans, and other financing options.

For an estimate of your expected out-of-pocket cost, please submit a request or call us at (888) 455-2678. Our Pricing team will be able to create an estimate that reflects your expected out-of-pocket cost based on your insurance benefits, or if uninsured, based on the HFHS uninsured discount policy.
