About Me
Biographical statement
Dr. Nyati is a researcher in the Radiation Oncology Department at Henry Ford Health. The team's research focuses on identifying novel molecular targets and targeting agents that enhance the efficacy of radiotherapy and chemotherapy in various cancers, including triple negative breast cancer (TNBC), lung cancer and glioma. They employ a variety of techniques to evaluate radio- and chemo- sensitization in in-vitro and in-vivo models. In addition, they are evaluating the toxicity and efficacy of replication competent adenovirus (developed at Henry Ford) in clinical trials in human subjects. They have conducted several clinical trials in subjects with prostate and pancreatic cancers. They have initiated an investigator-initiated phase 1 trial in recurrent glioma and are in the process of developing a "window-of-opportunity" phase 1 trial in newly diagnosed head and neck squamous carcinoma.
