Like night and day: Jim Jones' HIFU story

Henry Ford Health has launched southeast Michigan’s first high‑intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) program for patients with essential tremor and tremor‑dominant Parkinson’s disease, offering a non‑invasive alternative to traditional brain surgery.

Jim Jones had spent years losing the steady hands that once powered his woodworking hobby. Essential tremor made even lifting a glass or signing his name a struggle. But after undergoing a new incision‑free HIFU procedure at Henry Ford Health, everything changed. The tremor in his dominant hand faded almost instantly. For the first time in years, he could write clearly, drink without spilling, and return to the craft he loved. For Jim, the difference was simple — like night and day. See Jim’s full story here.
