Maplegrove Makes Changes to Improve Addiction Recovery

As a result of recent renovations and holistic treatment therapies, more residential patients at Henry Ford Maplegrove Center are completing treatment programs. Length of stay post-renovation has increased by 30 percent. A longer stay leads to greater success for addiction recovery patients. All key clinical staff were trained in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) treatment. DBT focuses on identifying and changing negative thinking patterns and encouraging positive behavioral change. This helps individuals overcome reliance on substances by better managing their behaviors, emotions and thoughts. In 2018, renovations created 20 private rooms and modernized gathering spaces, making Maplegrove more comfortable for longer stays. A new garden and labyrinth allow space for reflection, journaling and meditation. Learn More
