Joseph J. Richardson, Jr. is the President & CEO of AAA Auto Club Group, the second largest AAA club in the U.S. and the largest international club to include Quebec, Canada, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands with 10,000 dedicated employees and agents providing a broad portfolio of products and services to 14.4 million members, including roadside assistance, personal insurance, banking, life and travel.

Richardson has more than 35 years of Senior Executive experience in the personal lines insurance, banking, life, financial services and roadside assistance industries. His previous experience includes 30 years as a Senior Management Team Executive with Allstate Insurance, helping Allstate transform its business models in several key strategic areas.

Previously, he was a Senior Executive at Farmers Insurance, building its expansion from a West coast-based regional carrier to a national brand. In addition to countrywide oversight of the distribution and brand, he was instrumental in leading Farmer’s entry and growth in numerous Eastern United States markets and developed a new agency model transforming their business model.

Richardson serves on the Boards of Henry Ford Health System and Business Leaders of Michigan, and is a President’s Council member for the Department of Insurance and Financial Services in Michigan. In addition, he is a Director on the AAA National Board serving on the Executive and Finance Committees and he is currently the Chair of the Committee of Club Officials.

Richardson serves as a Trustee of Henry Ford Health System and he is currently the Chair of its Audit and Compliance Committee and a member of the Executive Committee.
