Lawrence Schultz has served as a Director of Henry Ford Health since 2016 and is a member of the Henry Ford Health Finance, Governance and Investment committees. He served previously as an Allegiance Health Trustee from 2005-2017 and was the Allegiance Board Chair from 2008-2014.

He has chaired many Allegiance Health Board committees, including the Executive, Compensation, Governance, Partnership Workgroup, and Health Improvement Organization (HIO), and served as a member of the Finance, Quality, Compliance, and System Integration committees. 

Schultz co-led the Governance Excellence initiative that resulted in the adoption of best practice governance models and protocols at Allegiance Health. A passionate advocate for workplace and community health improvement, Schultz was named as the first chair of the HIO Committee of the Allegiance Health Board of Trustees in 2000.

As a longstanding leader in community and workplace health improvement, Schultz was a founding member and the first Chair of the Jackson Business Leaders for Health partnership between employers and the HIO.

He has been an entrepreneur, principal owner, and operator of Great Lakes Industry, Inc., a precision gear manufacturing company in Jackson, Michigan, since 1979.
