Bishop Edgar L. Vann II

Bishop Edgar Vann has been pastor of Second Ebenezer since 1976. Under his leadership, the church has grown to become one of Metro Detroit’s largest and most impactful faith institutions.

He also consults on an executive level to various federal, state and local officials and business leaders. Among his many accomplishments is his induction into the Board of Preachers at Morehouse College, Atlanta, Georgia.

Bishop Vann is founder and Chairman of the Vanguard Community Development Corporation which has developed over 65 million dollars in housing and commercial property in Detroit. He is also the CEO of EVM Enterprises, a personal development and consulting company.

Highly regarded in the global faith community, Bishop Vann has brought his message of hope and empowerment extensively throughout the United States, the Middle East, Africa, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Eastern Europe. He is a mentor to faith leaders across the country.

Bishop Vann serves as a Vice Chair of Henry Ford Health and as a member and Chair of its Community Health Leadership Council.
