Mental Health and Addiction Treatment
Available to HAP members only
CBHM is the division of HAP responsible for managing members’ behavioral medicine services. Behavioral medicine refers to both mental health and chemical dependence (addiction). CBHM focuses on matching a HAP member with the best and most appropriate behavioral medicine care and monitoring that care throughout treatment. CBHM also offers HAP members who are age 18 and older and who are diagnosed with depression or bipolar disorders personal assistance through the CareTrack™ program. A behavioral health specialist will work one-on-one with you to:
- Assess your readiness to make behavior changes
- Troubleshoot barriers
- Set goals
- Navigate the health care system
- Provide information and education on depression and bipolar disorder
- Build self-confidence to manage depression or bipolar disorder

Outpatient locations: Clinton Township, Dearborn, Detroit, Grosse Pointe, Novi, Troy, and West Bloomfield.
Henry Ford Behavioral Health Services offers a full continuum of care for mental health and addiction for patients of all ages. Treatment options include acute hospitalization, residential treatment, intensive outpatient programs, outpatient treatment, and support groups at convenient locations throughout southeastern Michigan. Monthly workshops with information about substance abuse, addiction, prevention and intervention; a speaker’s bureau; and consultation also are offered. We provide a range of services specifically aimed at children and families living with chronic stress, especially related to family alcohol or other drug use, mental health problems, or other extraordinary family issues.
Substance Abuse Support Group
Location: Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital
Support group meetings are held weekly on Monday and Thursday evenings. Call for more information.
