Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer
Seth Frazier was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of Henry Ford Health System in 2017. In this role, Seth is responsible for the overall strategic planning and direction for the System, with responsibilities including business development, planning, analytics, transformation consulting, government relations and innovations.
Before assuming the position at HFHS, Frazier served as the Chief Transformation Officer for Evolent Health in Arlington, Virginia; Chief Transformation Officer at Geisinger Health System in Pennsylvania and was the Senior Vice President of Strategic Services for The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (“CHOP”). Additionally, at CHOP he held executive responsibility for a successful regional pediatric network managing a capitated commercial and Children’s Health Insurance Program contract with a large regional HMO. His experience also includes serving as a partner in the health care strategic consulting firm of APM, Inc.
His areas include, strategic planning, business development, performance analytics and improvement, government relations, and Henry Ford Innovations Institute. Seth also works closely with the clinical staff as well as physician and administrative leaders to help Henry Ford Health System navigate the constantly changing marketplace.
Prior to joining Henry Ford Health System, Seth served as the Chief Transformation Officer for Evolent Health in Arlington, Virginia. In this role, he was responsible for the leadership of large-scale client population health initiatives, which included strategic redesign, physician alignment structures, population health clinical programming, market assessments and strategies, and multi-system alliance development.
Seth has extensive experience with academic medical centers and integrated health systems. From 2008 – 2011, he partnered with physicians to drive clinical innovation culminating his tenure as Chief Transformation Officer at Geisinger Health System in Pennsylvania. He provided business leadership to a wide range of initiatives, including improving capacity utilization through predictive modeling, ProvenCare and Transitions of Care.
Prior to Geisinger, he was the Senior Vice President of Strategic Services for The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). At CHOP, his responsibilities included strategic planning and business development for strategic projects, including Proton Therapy, centers of excellence contracting and patient channel decision support. Before assuming the strategy role, he held executive responsibility for a successful regional pediatric network managing a capitated commercial and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) population with a large regional HMO.
Early in his career, Seth was a partner at APM, Inc., a national health care consulting firm. Seth received his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania as a Kaiser Fellow and his bachelor's degree in economics (honors) from Haverford College.
