Savor the Flavor: Shrek Juice


It can be struggle to make sure children are eating their 5 recommended daily servings of fruits and veggies. A great way to get the kids (and adults too!) to consume more greens is by blending them into smoothies or juice drinks. This drink is a fun, delicious way to pack in a ton of vitamins and nutrients per serving.

Shrek Juice


3 cups baby spinach
1 leaf kale
2 cups grapes
1 thick slice pineapple
1 banana
1 green apple (cored but not peeled)
1.5 cups ice
Apple juice as needed


In a blender, combine spinach, kale, grapes, pineapple, banana, apple and ice. Puree until smooth adding apple juice as needed to help blend.
