Outstanding Achievements

Henry Ford Hospital (HFH) recognizes nurses throughout the year who go above and beyond to impact the lives of others.

The DAISY Award is presented to one nurse each month who touched someone’s life with empathy and kindness. The Honey Bee Award is given every other month to honor nursing support staff who have provided extraordinary care.

Additionally, several Henry Ford nurses receive other awards and participate in presentations at various local state conferences. Lastly, many nurses continue their professional development by attaining professional certifications in a variety of specialties.

Although this year’s list is shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are very proud of all nurses for their dedication and commitment to serve our community during this unprecedented year.

2020 MEDSURG Nursing First-Time Author Writer’s Award

Nursing Administrator Jocelyn Maceri was awarded the 2020 MEDSURG Nursing First-Time Author Writer’s Award for her article entitled, “Defining Patient Acuity for Nursing Assistants and its Correlation to Patient and Staff Satisfaction.”

SAMS Foundation Awards

To recognize frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, the SAMS Foundation (Syrian American Medical Society) chose 10 Henry Ford Hospital (HFH) team members to present the Distinguished Service award.
