Suma Varma is the director of Network Operations and Clinical Integration. As Manager of the Physician Relationship Management (PRM) technology, Jodie helps to drive adoption of the PRM tool. She works with the team to develop standards, processes and workflows around use of the technology to support and enhance the development of meaningful physician partnerships. Jodie has a Master’s degree in Health Systems Management from Rush University Medical Center and an MBA from DePaul University (both in Chicago), along with a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology from University of Michigan.

Abbie serves as the system administrator of the PRM online tool being utilized by outreach liaisons across HFHS. She brings an abundance of healthcare experience to the HFPN, including insurance enrollment and eligibility, medical billing and claims payment, medical office operations, and data analytics. Over her 20-year career in healthcare, she has worked for United Healthcare, Intermountain Healthcare, and Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital.

Aaron is a licensed attorney focusing on organizational compliance and regulatory affairs for the HFPN. He brings over six years of contracting experience, three of which are in Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial payor contracts. A graduate from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, Aaron has held multiple leadership appointments from American Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan. Aaron has a Bachelor of Arts from Grand Valley State University and a Master of Science from the Johns Hopkins University. Aaron serves on HFHS’s Ethics Board, and is a past winner of the Davidson Fellowship in Healthcare Innovation.

With more than 25 years of experience with the Henry Ford Medical Group, Theresa’s positions have focused on physician recruitment, retention and credentialing, and improving physician satisfaction and engagement. Today, she is working to develop a value-based cadre of MSO services for private HFPN physicians. She collaborates with private physicians and office personnel to determine their needs, which drives the services provided. Theresa also develops educational forums for office managers. With a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Michigan, Dearborn.

Sheronde brings a wealth of healthcare experience to the HFPN, most recently working in community health with United Healthcare. She has experience as a physician networking coordinator and credentialing specialist, and also has extensive knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and CSHCS. Sheronde began her 20-year career in healthcare with the Henry Ford Health System and is excited to bring her knowledge and experience back to benefit HFHS.

Melissa Kurtz serves as the director of finance for the Henry Ford Physician Network (HFPN). In this role, she oversees the Network’s operational and capital budgets, assists in contract negotiation, and manages invoicing for the information technology solutions offered by the HFPN. She has more than 18 years of healthcare experience (14 of them with Health Alliance Plan (HAP) and Henry Ford), where she held leadership positions in hospital administration, support services, nursing finance and budget, and provider reimbursement. Melissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting information systems from Eastern Michigan University and is a certified medical coder.

Prior to her Executive Assistant role within the HFPN, Janet worked at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, where she supported the Medical Director and Director of the Wyandotte Employed Medical Practices and Director of Physician and Business Development. Before joining Henry Ford, Janet worked at the Associated Press, providing support to the Central Region Editor. She received her Bachelor’s degree in business administration/marketing from the University of Akron.

Cyndy Lambert serves as the director of Communications for the HFPN. In her role, she is responsible for ongoing communications to all members of the HFPN and any material related to the Network. Cyndy has more than 25 years of experience in writing, with a background in newspapers (The Detroit News) and employee communications at Compuware Corporation. She also helped develop and manage a community-engagement health program for the Karmanos Cancer Institute, focusing on cancer prevention. Cyndy received her Bachelor’s degree in journalism from Wayne State University.
