Please use the resources on this site to help guide you through the current stage of COVID-19 diagnosis, treatment and the vaccines.
The HFPN is extremely grateful to all of its 140+ volunteers who helped staff two 1A vaccine clinics in January and February to immunize nearly 1,800 community healthcare workers. These sites are no longer 1A clinics, but Henry Ford Health System mass vaccination clinics. Again, thank you to all of those who stepped up to make the 1A clinics a reality!
Background on HFHS and the COVID-19 Vaccine
Henry Ford Health System began preparing over the summer of 2020 for receipt of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines that required deep-freeze storage, including the Pfizer vaccine (-94 F) which was received in December. Each HFHS hospital pharmacy has been equipped with a freezer to accommodate these vaccines. As the only health system in Michigan chosen as a study site for the Moderna vaccine, the HFHS team has been very involved with all aspects of these vaccines, including their safety and efficacy.
If you need more information regarding the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine, please review the FAQ posted to the Henry Ford website. Please also share this link with patients, as they may also find it helpful as we all travel this path forward.
