White Coats for Black Lives

The Henry Ford Physician Network – in conjunction with Henry Ford Health System and Health Alliance Plan – is joining healthcare professionals from around the nation in the #WhiteCoats4BlackLives movement. We encourage you to actively participate in this important time in our history. It is our hope that this collective desire will end racism and improve the health and safety of our community.

“Racism subsists in the shadows of our society. Please join us in #whitecoats4blacklives to shine a light and take a stand against racism” - Bruce Muma, MD; HFPN President and CEO

"At times like these, we all must decide if we will stand silent, turning away from the fray, choosing comfort over progress – in other words, indifference. Or, will we summon the courage that exists within us all when confronted with acts that violate our sense of decency and humanity." - Wright Lassiter; President and CEO, HFHS

“As physicians we are all united in our mission to heal. As human beings, we must also unite to end racism, inequity and injustice. All of us, banded together, can make an immediate difference every day and change the future for all.” - Adnan Munkarah, MD, HFPN Board of Trustees Chair; HFHS Chief Clinical Officer

Henry Ford Health System honored the White Coats for Black Lives movement on
