Student/Resident Advocates Association

Mission statement

The Henry Ford Wyandotte Student/Resident Advocate Association is a support group comprised of student & resident spouses/sig. others, osteopathic family members, & staff. A family of individuals who know and understand the trials associated with medical school and residency. Our goal is to provide everyone with camaraderie, fun, support and understanding, involvement & connection, & education.

More about the organization

This organization started on February 23, 2010. We meet monthly where we plan upcoming activities/events, discuss how to better support each other and our medical spouses; anyone who comes gets a free dinner and kids are most welcome. Throughout the year, usually around a holiday, members of the SRAA baked treats for the residents and other hospital departments as a small reminder of our appreciation for all of the hard work that they do!

Other activities include:

  • A welcome packet and a welcome luncheon for incoming residents/medical students
  • A charity drive
  • Root beer floats/ Boston Coolers in the park
  • A holiday family get together

New members are always welcome!
