Prerequisites

Training prerequisites include satisfactory completion of an ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency, or an AOA-accredited internal medicine residency whose program has been pre-accredited by the ACGME. We fully consider graduates of accredited foreign medical schools on J-1 or H-1B visas. All positions are offered through the ERAS application process.

Fellows are selected based on:

• The quality and breadth of their previous training
• Leadership qualities
• Research accomplishments
• USMLE scores
• Letters of recommendation
• Personal statements
• Personal interviews

Successful completion of the nephrology fellowship confers board eligibility by the American Board of Nephrology.
