Nephrology & Critical Care Fellowship

Nephrology/critical care

One to two of the first-year positions are reserved for candidates entering the integrated three-year Nephrology and Critical Care track. This program is administered jointly with the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care and is the only integrated program of its kind in the nation. Eight months of critical care, as well as bronchoscopy, are integrated with 22 months of nephrology during this program, and graduates are eligible to be boarded in both Nephrology and Critical Care.

Candidates should have a strong interest in ICU nephrology, including dialysis and continuous renal replacement therapy techniques. Candidates should apply through the nephrology fellowship program, after which interviews for invited applicants are conducted with both nephrology and critical care faculty. Interested applicants should apply to both Nephrology and Nephrology/Critical Care tracks for consideration in the match.
