Academic Highlights of the Program

  • ENT1Wednesday lecture series with Henry Ford Hospital involve a comprehensive discussion of the clinical sciences. Discussions are proposed by attending faculty in various subspecialties within ENT, as well as other relevant fields of study.
  • A review of skull base and sinus radiographic studies is held monthly at Henry Ford Hospital.
  • Training courses in endoscopic sinus surgery, temporal bone, and facial plating are also offered throughout the course of the year.
  • Temporal Bone lab, readily available for residents to practice their technical skills.
  • Monthly morbidity and mortality conference with Henry Ford Hospital.
  • Exposure to trans oral robotic surgery.
  • Monthly MSU COM Statewide Campus System Educational Days (http://scs.msu.edu/).
  • Journal club reviews quarterly, covering the most current literature in Otolaryngology.
  • There is an array of available research opportunities through Henry Ford Hospital and Lakeshore Ear Nose and Throat. All residents are required to submit posters and presentations to national and regional meetings.
  • Monthly Grand Rounds at Henry Ford Macomb with Core Faculty.
