Candidate Information

We invite you to consider Henry Ford Macomb as you make your selection of a residency program. We offer a strong academic environment in a friendly setting. The family medicine residents work together as a team with a strong sense of collegiality.

Candidates must have passed Comlex Level 1 or USMLE Step 1; are preferred to have completed Comlex Level 2 or USMLE Step 2; and must be in good standing with their medical school. All residency positions have Osteopathic recognition. Candidates should be able to demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to osteopathic principles. This includes: sufficient background and/or instruction in Osteopathic Principles and Practices and techniques in manipulative medicine, which will prepare them to engage in the curriculum of the program.

Preference will be given to well-rounded individuals who are motivated with a strong work ethic. Strong academic credentials are desired, and the ability to work with a healthcare team is essential. Candidates should submit their application through ERAS. Interviews will be conducted from September through early January. Henry Ford Macomb Hospital sponsors J1 visas.
