Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program

Henry Ford Macomb Hospital's Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education (CPME) and the Joint Residency Review Committee (JRRC), and includes training at:

  • Henry Ford Macomb Hospital
  • Beaumont Hospital Surgical Center, Clinton Township

Residents independently manage and follow up with patients weekly at the Clinic for the Working Uninsured and Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Clinic.

The department has more than 20 full-time faculty who participate in resident education. Staff physicians are diplomats of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and fellows of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Residents in this approved PMS-36 program will complete a three year comprehensive training program, preparing them to diagnose and treat complex medical and surgical conditions of the foot and ankle. Following completion of training, the resident is eligible to take examinations in Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
