Henry Ford offers a host of educational opportunities for our nurses; from nurse extern programs for our students, to advanced degrees in partnership with several area colleges and universities.

Key training and education programs offered at Henry Ford include:

  • Orientation: Both classroom and clinical orientations are provided for all nursing employees at Henry Ford Health System,including: Registered Nurse and Nurse Intern Orientation, Nursing Assistant Orientation, Nurse Extern Orientation, Clerk Orientation, Sitter Orientation.
  • Continuing Education: Henry Ford stresses continuing education beyond what is required for nurses to keep their certification. A flexible schedule of on-site classes, workshops and conferences aid our nurses, in their development and advancement. Classes include: Critical Care, Preceptor Development and Nursing Leadership.
