Henry Ford Innovations is changing the way hospitals leverage their resources to create new healthcare technologies and solutions. Our goal is to attract and develop solutions that address the world’s most pressing healthcare problems. We recognize that great ideas can come from anywhere; it is our job to engineer the collisions of talent and resources that bring those ideas to reality. To do this, Henry Ford Innovations introduced the Innovation Challenge platform to harness cutting edge ideas from both our employee population and the global community as a whole, to generate solutions from those working closest to the problems, and to attract innovations from the world’s leading innovators.
Current Challenge: Digital Inclusion Challenge
The Henry Ford Innovation Institute’s Global HealthTech Challenge is a unique means for commercializing early-stage technologies that address the root causes of the world’s most pressing healthcare problems. The HealthTech Challenge attracts entrepreneurs, clinicians, engineers, designers and other innovators from around the world to address targeted issues identified for the competition.
The direct goal of the Challenge is to leverage the clinical, development, and capital resources of Henry Ford Health System to accelerate the growth of cutting edge technologies. This powerful package of development resources is truly unique in the world of healthcare, and intended to establish Henry Ford Health System as a global leader in accelerating the development of healthcare solutions.
Digital technologies have impacted nearly every aspect of our daily lives. However, in Detroit, it is estimated that there are still 23,000 households lacking high-speed internet access. Such digital exclusion creates additional layers of inequities, including a lack of access to education and health resources to support populations who may need them the most. Henry Ford Health System (HFHS), Google, and Miracle Software Systems invite entrepreneurs from across the U.S. to develop solutions that address health inequities by promoting Digital Inclusion. The winning team will have the opportunity to develop their solution in partnership with the Henry Ford Health System.
Applications will open May 19th – Click here to register for the kickoff panel and stay tuned.
