Chief Medical Officer, Henry Ford Hospital and Henry Ford Medical Group

John Deledda, MD, is the chief medical officer for Henry Ford Hospital and Henry Ford Medical Group.

In addition, Dr. Deledda is the chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine, overseeing all clinical and administrative emergency medicine services, including the Level 1 trauma center at Henry Ford Hospital and the alignment of emergency medicine across the health system. Dr. Deledda also has taken a leading role in virtual care initiatives underway across the System.

Before joining Henry Ford, Dr. Deledda served as associate professor of clinical emergency medicine, chief medical officer and vice president of medical affairs for the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He also held several leadership positions including chief of staff and medical director of the Center for Emergency Care at the academic medical center.

Dr. Deledda earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan. He completed post- graduate training in emergency medicine at the University of Cincinnati.
