Overnight Visitation

  • One (1) adult support person (no minors, no children) is permitted to remain with the patient overnight/after-hours once appropriately screened. The overnight/after-hours visitor must obtain a valid Henry Ford Hospital (HFH) 24-hour badge that must be visibly worn at all times.
  • Overnight visitors will be screened at the West Pavilion Information Desk.
  • The visitor badge must be visible and not expired. Expired badges can be re-issued at the West Pavilion Information Desk at any point throughout the day.
  • Overnight visitation in semi-private rooms is permitted only if the visitor is the same gender as the patients in the room. Children and minors (unless emancipated adults) are not permitted to visit overnight.
  • In semi-private rooms, if the support person is of a different sex, the person may remain overnight in the West Pavilion Lobby.
  • Between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., overnight visitors should not visit other units or areas of the hospital that are closed.

If you are having an emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. Please do not utilize this scheduling feature for urgent medical situations.
