Debora has served as Vice President of Business Integrity, Accreditation and Community Benefit since 1993.

Serving in the role of Chief Compliance Officer for the System since 2012, Debora is responsible for promoting a culture of integrity through the implementation of an effective compliance program according to federal regulatory standards.

She has expanded her role in both Compliance/ Business Integrity and Community Benefit within HFHS since 2007. Her focus is on creating engagement with employees, alignment of work with organizational goals, and meeting regulatory requirements.

While serving as Chief Compliance Officer, Debora leads a corporate Community Benefit team and works to insure that we meet all relevant IRS regulations. She provides oversight, education and training to HFHS employees around community benefit reporting. She serves as leader for a board level Community Benefit Committee at Henry Ford Macomb and leads the Henry Ford Macomb Diversity Committee, which also reports through the Board.

Debora is certified in healthcare compliance through the Healthcare Compliance Association (HCCA). She served as adjunct faculty at University of Detroit-Mercy for nine years and currently serves on a local community organization board - the Mercy Education Project – in Detroit.
