Brownstown Receives Seventh Patient Satisfaction Award

January 03, 2013

Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital is pleased to announce that its Henry Ford Health Center – Brownstown (HFHC-Brownstown) facility, located on West Road, has received its seventh Press Ganey Summit Award. Press Ganey, a leader in health care performance improvement, awarded the state-of-the-art facility with a 2012 distinction in the area of Outpatient Services, marking four consecutive years of receiving a Summit Award.

“This recognition by Press Ganey for the fourth year in a row is truly a testament to our staff’s dedication to putting each patient first,” says Amy Kaufman Eddy, HFHC – Brownstown administrator.

The Summit Award, Press Ganey’s most prestigious honor, recognizes the commitment of physicians, nurses and staff to provide only the highest quality of care. To achieve this honor, the care provided had to sustain an overall rank in the 95th percentile, in each reporting period, for a minimum of 36 consecutive months.

According to Kaufman Eddy, receiving the 2012 award means that Outpatient Services has ranked in the 95th percentile every year since the facility opened in 2006.

“The ability of HFHC – Brownstown to maintain 95th percentile performance in our Outpatient Services reflects our commitment to partner quality care with an exceptional patient experience,” she says.
As one staff member put it, “We do what we have done from the start — attend to our patients’ needs and treat them with respect.”

The facility received its other two Summit Awards, for Emergency Services, in 2009 and 2010.
