DETROIT – Christina Eyers, Ed.D., ATC, supervisor of athletic training at Henry Ford Hospital, was reappointed to the Michigan Board of Athletic Trainers.
The 11-member board assists Michigan’s Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs with overseeing the licensure and practice of more than 1,000 athletic trainers statewide. Eyers was first appointed to the board in 2010. Her current term expires December 2016.
Eyers joined the Sports Medicine Division of Henry Ford’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in March 2011. She was named supervisor of athletic training last November. She is also a licensed and certified athletic trainer.
Eyers holds a doctor of education degree in educational leadership from Central Michigan University, a master’s degree in health studies from the University of Alabama and a bachelor’s degree in movement science from the University of Michigan. She is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Great Lakes Trainers’ Association and Michigan Athletic Trainers’ Society.
