Henry Ford Hospital Appoints Division Head of Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine

DETROIT – Bruno DiGiovine, M.D., M.P.H., was appointed division head of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital.

Dr. DiGiovine returns to Henry Ford after serving the past four years as associate chairman in the Department of Medicine at Wayne State University and the past two years as medical director of the Medicine Intensive Care Unit at Detroit Receiving Hospital. He joined Henry Ford as a senior staff physician in pulmonary and critical care in 1998, and previously served as medical director of Inpatient Pulmonary Service and Medical Critical Care.

Dr. DiGiovine is board certified in the specialties of internal medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care medicine.

He earned his undergraduate degree at Harvard University and medical degree at the Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. He also earned a master’s degree in public health from the University of Michigan, at which he completed residency and fellowship training.

Dr. DiGiovine has published numerous research articles, and is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, American College of Chest Physicians and American Thoracic Society. He is an associate professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Wayne State University.
