DETROIT – Marla Jahnke, M.D., FAAD, a board-certified pediatric dermatologist, has joined the Department of Dermatology at Henry Ford Hospital.
Dr. Jahnke is one of only four physicians in Michigan to be board certified in both dermatology and pediatrics. She sees infants, children and adolescents at these Henry Ford locations:
- Henry Ford Medical Center-Farmington Road, 6530 Farmington Road, West Bloomfield.
- Henry Ford Medical Center-New Center One, 3013 W. Grand Boulevard, Detroit.
- Henry Ford Medical Center-Troy, 2825 Livernois.
Pediatric dermatology is a specialized expertise of dermatology. A pediatric dermatology is consulted when a rash, skin growth, birthmark, genetic disease or other skin condition exceeds the expertise of a general dermatologist or pediatrician.
Dr. Jahnke has clinical expertise in a variety of pediatric skin conditions including rashes, autoimmune diseases, birthmarks, hemangiomas and other blood vessel growths.
She earned her medical degree from Wayne State University, and completed advanced training at Henry Ford Hospital, Wayne State and Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Dr. Jahnke is also a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology.
