Fariba Hickinson, OD

Dr. Hickinson was born in Iran, Esfahan; however, she spent most of her childhood in Azusa, California.  She attended California Polytech in Pomona, California and the Illinois College of Optometry. While in Chicago, she worked in a pediatric vision therapy setting servicing children with motor and vision disabilities.

Dr. Hickinson joined our HFO Milford office in September 1994. She speaks fluent Farci (Persian) and can perform bilingual eye examinations.

Dr. Hickinson is an active member of the Huron Valley Chamber of Commerce, Martin Luther King Day Committee since 2005, and Zonta Club of Milford since 2014.  She is also a mentor to the Huron Valley School District students interested in optometry as a career. She enjoys lecturing on the anatomy of the eye, its functions and diseases at all educational levels and senior/community centers. 

When not in the office, Dr. Hickinson and her husband love to spend time with their two beautiful daughters. They are members of the Baha’i faith.
