Rovetta Mattia, OD

Dr. Mattia is a first-generation Chaldean-American who was born in Southfield, Michigan. Her family later moved to California where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering from UC San Diego. She went on to obtain her Doctor of Optometry degree from the UC Berkeley School of Optometry. She completed clinical rotations in surgical and pediatric centers in San Francisco, Phoenix, and San Diego. After graduating, she returned to Michigan and began working for HFO shortly thereafter. She enjoys taking care of patients of all ages, especially children. She has fluency in Modern Aramaic (Chaldean) and some Arabic. She and her husband enjoy cooking, traveling, and raising their four boys.
