We want you to know how much we value the skill, dedication, and compassion that Genesys nurses bring to our patients and community. Your experience matters, and you remain an important part of the Genesys team.
Over the past few months, we have taken meaningful steps to strengthen our commitment to nurses, including pay and support for safe staffing. This includes a 5% market premium on top of our prior 2025 increases to pay rates, along with a 10% shift differential, a $2 weekend differential, and the return of weekend-only positions. These changes help ensure we remain competitive and continue attracting and retaining great nurses.
Additionally, we have proposed to the Teamsters that effective May 3, a third wage increase that would align Genesys RNs to the 2026 Henry Ford Health RN step structure. The scale is below for reference.
More than 100 nurses have already returned, and many others have recently joined the team. We would truly welcome you back. There will be no retaliation for participating in the strike – only appreciation for the care you provide and the difference you make.
Your health insurance will begin the first Monday after you return.
