Global Health Initiative

The Global Health Initiative (GHI) focuses on creating ways to improve the health of vulnerable and marginalized populations in our own community and globally. The GHI team aims to share the expertise of physicians, nurses, researchers and other health professionals from Henry Ford Health System with our local and international partners by providing training programs and community outreach to and collaborating on research with government, university and community-based institutions. By learning more about health innovations from abroad, we can adapt and implement long-lasting solutions for many of our local health challenges.

Areas of global health learnings include:

  • Medical technologies
  • Healthcare leadership
  • Hospital administration
  • Infection and virus control
  • Advanced specialty research and training programs
