My purpose as a clinician is to use neuropsychological assessment and behavioral neuroscience to advance the well-being of my patients. My goal is to work with my patients, their families, and their health-care providers to understand the source of memory and thinking problems while working together in the next steps of treatment.
Dr. Baird graduated from Wayne State University with a doctorate in psychology. She interned and completed a postdoctoral fellowship with Henry Ford Health System with a focus in neuropsychology. Dr. Baird currently focuses on the neuropsychological assessment of older adults.
My research interests concern the association between everyday functioning and neuropsychological assessment results. This research has mainly centered on older adults, particularly patients who have had strokes or pituitary tumors. In recent years, my research interests have expanded to include the collaborative assessment, ageism, and psychoeducational programs to enhance well-being of older adults.
