About Me

Biographical Statement

Providers at Henry Ford's School-Based Health locations provide primary care and behavioral health services to children ages 5-21, regardless of health insurance coverage or ability to pay. School-Based Health clinics are located within more than a dozen schools in Wayne and Macomb counties. These school-based clinics provide care to area youth while schools are in session as well as during the summer break when schools are closed.

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker with a clinical license to practice in the State of Michigan. I have several years of experience working with adolescents/young adults and their families. I enjoy assisting teenagers and young adults learn better ways of communicating, understanding their emotions and building healthy relationships.

I currently provide therapeutic services within the School-Based and Community Health Program clinics, acting as one part of the multidisciplinary team. I mainly focus on, but am not limited to, topics surrounding managing anxiety, depression, trauma and grief. I use a combination of evidenced-based practices, modeling and role-playing exercises to assist my clients in learning skills to manage, reduce and eliminate symptoms, and change unwanted behavior.
