About Me
Biographical Statement
Providers at Henry Ford’s School-Based Health locations provide primary care and behavioral health services to children ages 5-21, regardless of health insurance coverage or ability to pay. School-based health clinics are located within more than a dozen schools in Wayne and Macomb counties. These school-based clinics provide care to area youth while schools are in session as well as during the summer break when schools are closed.
I am a Licensed Master's Social Worker with 9 years of experience working in the field. My primary interests are to help individuals identify mental health goals they are seeking to achieve to improve behavior, decision making, relationships, and overall success in their lives. I have developed skills and knowledge in evidenced-based therapy models like CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, strengths-based therapy and mindfulness practices to help treat depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse and many other mental health concerns.
Throughout my 9 years of experience I have worked in helping adolescent and adult clients who have a difficult time managing symptoms related to mental health. I've also developed skills that help build rapport with clients which is one of the most important components of therapy. I enjoy getting to know patients on an individual level which allows me to identify areas that may be causing mental symptoms while also recommending activities that will improve overall mental health.
