About Me

Biographical Statement
Dr. Jae Ho Kim obtained his medical degree from Kyungpook National University in South Korea where he graduated summa cum laude. He continued his education at the University of Iowa studying radiobiology and biophysics, obtaining Ph.D.’s in both subjects.

He then became an intern at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx, New York. After his internship, Dr. Kim completed his residency training in the department of radiation oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where he also served as a research associate for biophysics division in cancer research.

Dr. Kim is an editorial board member of radiation research for the Clinical Cancer Bulletin and has been a scientific reviewer for the United States Department of Defense. He has also been a professor at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio and Wayne State University. Dr. Kim is the Chairman of Radiation Oncology at Henry Ford Health System.

His areas of clinical expertise include central nervous System (CNS) tumors, soft tissue sarcomas, malignant lymphomas, endocrine tumors and stereotactic radiosurgery. Dr. Kim is currently engaged in clinical research pertaining to combined use of targeted drugs or gene therapy in radiation therapy, and radiation protection and mitigation of normal tissue radiobiology.
