About Me

Biographical Statement:
Dr. Mubita completed her neurosurgery residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She then traveled to Jackson Memorial hospital in Miami, Florida, where she completed her neurotrauma fellowship. During this fellowship, she was responsible for the care of critically ill patients with traumatic brain injuries. She also independently supervised an outpatient trauma follow-up clinic with residents and medical students.

Once done with her fellowship, Dr. Mubita moved back to Michigan, working at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. She treats patients with brain and spine trauma, spine disease (including neck and back pain), brain tumors, cerebrospinal fluid disorders and minor peripheral nerve problems, such as carpal tunnel and ulnar nerve compression.

Care Philosophy:
I believe very strongly in patient-centered care. Navigating the healthcare system can be frustrating and a struggle, even for professionals within the healthcare field. My goal is to get you the right treatment by working with you to understand your symptoms and by determining the best treatment plan for those symptoms.
