Valerie Stevens is a licensed, social worker with experience in behavioral health, case management and collaborative care. She currently focuses her practice on providing outpatient behavioral health to adults as part of the Behavioral Health Integration program within primary care.
She enjoys problem solving and helping patients become more aware of and better manage their mood, and day to day struggles. Valerie takes a patient-centered approach and strives to form strong treatment alliances. Valerie has advanced training in both cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
She received her Master of Social Work at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI in 2012. She also has worked as a therapist, case manager and advocate in several local community mental health organizations.
