About Me
I specialize in Pediatric Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation, Spinal Deformity Surgery, and Joint Preservation Surgery of the Hip.
My medical degree is from the University of Pennsylvania. Upon graduation, I went on to complete my training in General Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Harvard University Combined Program in Orthopaedic Surgery. I completed my fellowship training in Pediatric Orthopaedics and Scoliosis Surgery at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital, and I am board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Philosophy
My goal as a physician is to listen attentively and empathetically to each patient and family in order to understand their orthopaedic and functional difficulties. I prefer to involve the patient and the family in the diagnostic evaluation and the formulation of a treatment plan that fulfills individual needs. I strive to carefully explain surgical procedures in understandable terms for children and families, and to use the most current and safe surgical techniques available.
