Oven Baked Chili Fries

Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon plus 1/8 teaspoon salt, divided
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Dash of cayenne pepper
- 4 medium baking potatoes, unpeeled and sliced into thin strips (should yield about 5 cups strips)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
Preheat oven to 450°F. Spray baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray or line with parchment paper. In a small dish, combine garlic powder, chili powder, sugar, 1/4 teaspoon salt, black pepper and cayenne pepper. Place potato strips in a large bowl, add oil and toss. Add spice mixture to potatoes and toss to coat. Spread potatoes in a single layer on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 35 minutes, or until golden. Sprinkle baked French fries with remaining 1/8 teaspoon of salt.
Yield: 4 servings (about 1 cup per serving)
