Rainy Day Dirt Cake
Prep Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 10 hours
- 20 ounce package of reduced fat, chocolate sandwich cookies
- 4 cups skim milk
- 2 (3.4 ounce) packages instant chocolate pudding
- 12 ounces frozen fat-free whipped topping, partially thawed
- 2 (8 ounce) packages fat-free cream cheese, softened
- 4-5 gummy worms
Place cookies in a large resealable bag. Seal the bag being careful to get most of the air out and place on hard surface. Take a rolling pin and roll over the bag enough times to crush the cookies. In a small bowl, soften cream cheese with a rubber spatula. In a medium bowl, mix the milk and pudding together with a mixer on the lowest setting. Next, mix in the whipped topping Then mix in the cream cheese. Mix well. Cover the bottom of a plastic flower pot with a plastic lid, piece of foil or a piece of plastic wrap to block the drainage hole. Sprinkle in a layer of cookie crumbs. Top with a layer of the pudding mixture. Repeat, making several layers of each, ending with cookie crumbs on top. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
Before serving, "plant" the flowers and place the gummy worms on the "dirt," if desired.
To serve, use a clean garden trowel or spoon.
