Spicy Warm Cider

  • 1 gallon apple cider
  • 1 can (6 ounces) frozen concentrate orange juice
  • 7 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 ½ tsp whole cloves
  • 1 tsp whole allspice


Combine cider and frozen orange juice in small soup pot. Place the cinnamon sticks, cloves and allspice in a double layer of cheesecloth, tied with kitchen string. Lower the bag into the juice. Simmer the mixture, covered, for one hour over low heat. Strain if not using a cheesecloth bag.

Serve the cider warm (it can be reheated).
