How does wellness coaching work?
Our health coaching program is client driven. During the initial wellness coaching session, you will generally create a wellness vision and long- and short-term goals. Following your initial session, you will have periodic check-in meetings with your health coach to:
- Review the previous session’s goal progress
- Help you identify what went well and your strengths
- Discuss topics you may want to investigate further
- Set an updated action plan
Sessions can be in-person or by phone, depending on your preference and what works best for your schedule. Between sessions, texting or emailing can be utilized to bridge the time between sessions.

During your initial session, you and your health coach will work together to create a list of the focus areas that are most relevant to your health and wellness. This may include:
- Stress management
- Nutritional strategies
- Customized exercise programming
- Weight management
- Other life issues that impact wellness
How long is the health coaching program?
The ultimate goal of our wellness coaching program is to make you self-sufficient, so that you no longer need a coach. For this reason, at your initial health coaching session, you’ll work together to design a 12-week wellness plan. This is the amount of time needed for most individuals to make meaningful behavioral change become a part of your life.
Our extensive wellness coaching process will help you get over the initial resistance that can accompany the pursuit of any new lifestyle goal. You’ll learn what works for you and what doesn’t, and get on the path to experiencing wellness as a central part of your life.
