Lung & Thoracic Cancer Support Services

Surviving and thriving after cancer requires more than medication or surgery.

Thoracic cancer treatment can be complex. Cancers such as lung cancer or mesothelioma may require chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, or a combination of all three.

Our free Survivorship Workshop Series aims to help you understand what to expect from the moment of diagnosis through treatment and recovery. While you focus on getting better, we teach you how to take care of yourself through exercise and better sleep, and prepare you to return to work after treatment.

What will I learn during the Survivorship Workshop Series?

We offer advice on various topics to help you cope with cancer treatment and recovery. Each presentation includes a question-and-answer period to address all of your concerns.

Our four-part program covers the following topics:

  • Session 1: Communicating with your health care team
  • Session 2: The importance of nutrition and physical activity
  • Session 3: Sleep better to feel better
  • Session 4: Leaving and returning to work

You’re welcome to bring family members and friends, and we’ll provide light refreshments.
